American Royal High School offers an education to any adult who wants to earn an authentic high school diploma online. You take courses on your own time and will have a teacher you can reach by phone or email whenever you need to ask a question. Our Learning Management System lets you get your books, exams, and quizzes all at the click of a button. We are an approved Private School by the Florida Department of Education. The key difference between us and a regular private school is that we are an approved distance learning high school. That distance learning designation means that your classroom is your home or anywhere that you have an internet connection.

Most of our students are adults returning to the educational system, some after being away for many years. There are a million valid reasons for not finishing high school. Maybe you had to take care of your family, maybe you got sick, or maybe you had to leave the country. Whatever your reason for not completing high school is you can find your place at ARHS. We designed the school to make it as easy as possible for adults to re-enter a high school diploma program. Our courses are more relevant to an adult’s experience and the material is designed to appeal to a more mature audience. We touch on topics that would not be discussed in a regular high school situation and ask our students to bring their unique experiences with them into the classroom.

We are also recognized nationally and internationally as any other traditional private high school would be. What that means for you is that American Royal High School is licensed to educate students in the way the Florida State Board of Education has determined. We adhere to specific standards like any other traditional high school, and at the end of the program, after a student completes the credits they need, we are authorized by the Florida State Board of Education to grant a high school diploma.

People who choose to go to high school online must be motivated, self-starters. Going to school online means that you’ll have to organize your time and keep track of your assignments on your own. As long as you’re willing to do the work then you should have no problem succeeding in an online environment.

Our Learning Management System handles all that for you. Your unique student dashboard will have the entire curriculum you need to study all of your assignments, homework, exams, and quizzes can be found there. Your progress and grades on assignments can be found on your dashboard as well. You’ll be on a grading scale that will grade your final examination between an A and an F, just as in a regular high school. There are no pass-fail courses and you need to achieve at least a C in order to get credit towards your diploma. Once you decide you’re ready to take the final examination, the grade on the final will be your grade for the course. The Florida State Board of Education has a strict set of rules and guidelines that we need to follow in order for your diploma to be recognized and accepted as valid with employers and college admissions departments. You should be able to pass the final examination the first time. There are many practice exams that are not graded that will help you prepare for the final and, as we’ve said, there are lots of people who can help you understand whatever you are studying.
